Terms of stay
All of our Holiday Homes are fully self-contained. The contents of the houses vary from house to house so please read the individual descriptions.
Check in is from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. All credit card transactions incur a 3% surcharge. Sorry we do not accept AMERICAN EXPRESS. No surcharge on New Zealand Debit Cards (EFTPOS) and CASH.
Tekapo Luxury Homes reserves the right to cancel a reservation/re-book a home should credit card details not be given.
Please note: The hour of closure may vary during the winter due to weather.
Checking out
Check out is either before or promptly at 10:00am on the day of your departure.
Any LATE check outs (later than 10:00 am till 14:00) will incur a late fee of NZD$50 per hour and later than 14:00, it will be the rate of 1 night. If you would like to check out late, please inform us in advance as an extension could be arranged.
What we supply
All of our houses have a standard supply of toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets and had soap to get you through your first night’s stay. Also, tea, coffee, sugar and milk will be found in kitchen.
1. Excessive mess in the kitchen is not including in the cleaning. Please wash your own dishes or turn the dishwasher on for us. Guests may incur a cleaning surcharge of NZD$50-NZD$200 if the kitchen is left in an excessively untidy state. This surcharge also applies for evidence of pets or smoking in the house.
2. Losing the house key or taking it with you when departing will be an extra charge of NZD$50.
3. Please advise us of any additional guests (includes children over 2 years old) staying so we can amend your booking. Any extra guests are charged an additional NZD$45 per person, per night.
Failure to inform us of additional guests will result in a penalty charge of NZD$100/per additional person and the right to terminate your booking without refund.
4. There are BBQ’s at some of our holiday homes. Gas bottles are not supplied but can be hired for $7 per night or you can bring your own. Please clean the BBQ after use.
Please report any problems or maintenance to us immediately and check hot water after you enter the house. You are liable for any damage to the property during your stay. Please do not try to remedy any damage yourself. Tekapo Luxury Homes will not be held responsible for any self-conflicted injuries in the house. I.e. dangerous knife use or inappropriate use of bunk beds. Children under 9 are not recommended to sleep on the top bunk.
